A traveling ritual of music, memory, and movement
What is Karvansara
A ritual of sound and togetherness, inspired by the resting places that once connected the world.
Karvansara reimagines the old caravanserai — a house for travellers — as a space to pause, listen, and share the night.
Each gathering is a passage: rhythms and languages meeting in the same breath.
Electronic sound merges with voices and instruments from West Asia and elsewhere, creating a moment where distance disappears.
Karvansara is not a party.
It’s a place to remember that music can still bring us home.
Born in The Hague, now finding its way toward Amsterdam and beyond, Karvansara continues to travel — quietly, patiently, like those who came before.
Our First Stop
For our pilot edition, we were fortunate to partner with The Grey Space in The Middle, where Karvansara came to life on 20 September 2025.
For seven hours, we celebrated like travellers reunited on the road - sharing music, food, and stories from across regions.
Tunes flowed from Kurdistan, Greece, Isfahan, and Yazd, blending into electronic rhythms that carried the night forward.
We served homemade sandwiches, cocktails, and wines from our region, filling the space with the scent and taste of home.
It was the first stop of what we hope will become a long journey — one that keeps growing, city by city, gathering by gathering.
The Soul of our Gathering
Just like the old caravanserais, we keep live music at the heart of every gathering — moments where instruments, voices, and rhythms meet before the night turns into a dance.
Each edition carries both: the intimacy of performance and the release of a party.
The Heart of our night
As the evening unfolded, the caravan grew louder.
Three travellers, InHere, Rouzbeh Esfand, and Melissa Sneeks guided the crowd through the party hours of our pilot edition.
Each brought their own language of rhythm and emotion, weaving live performance and DJ sets into one continuous story.
The room shifted between pulse and pause — voices melting into beats, melodies from faraway places carried by low frequencies and shared breath.
What followed wasn’t just a party, but a passage; a glimpse of what Karvansara becomes when sound takes over the night.
